Located in the new development of Sluishuis , designed by BIG builds and Barcode Architects, this 152 square meter duplex appartment was delivered to us casco (first construction stage – no further additions).

Our clients, a young professional couple, asked us to transform this duplex into their unique home. We remodeled some areas, including the internal staircase, and designed the entire lighting, all the internal finishes, the kitchen, the bathrooms, the custom carpentry, storage solutions as well as loose furniture. After producing all the technical construction drawings, we commissioned a contractor to execute the works and worked hand in hand with them to transform this duplex, from an empty shell to a warm unique home.
The Colour Palettes.
To capture the personality of our clients, we worked with an industrial style for the interior design, using large clean surfaces with slick details. By focusing on clear lines, we aimed to create what we called a ‘dark elegance’ aesthetic in all spaces, including the kitchen, living spaces, home office, bedroom as well as the bathrooms.
